Kosas Lipsticks Are Worth The Hype

Kosas has quickly become a relevant make up brand and has created a strong presence as THE non-toxic functional and luxurious makeup line for every woman. Their marketing seems to aim to relate to the boho free spirited gal, the 9-5 career driven boss babe, and everyone in between.

But aside from having a pretty genius marketing strategy, their products are truly functional, high performance, long lasting, easy to apply, and have lightweight but also pigmented formulas.

While I’m crazy about all of the Kosas Lipsticks and Blush + Highlight compacts that I’ve gotten to experiment with, I’ve only added the lipstick shades Undone and Thrillest to my collection.

Thrillest is easily one of the most unique, fun, eclectic, and bold colors I’ve ever seen.

It reminds me of a bright and fire-y firetruck red that leans a bit more on the orange side than red; but somehow manages to act as a unique shade of a classic bold red instead of a neon orange.

Kosas seems to live by the phrase ‘Beauty Undone’, which I honestly can totally get behind. The Undone lipstick is bright but also a natural and neutral ‘your lips but better’ shade. I’ve even used this shade on my eyes and cheeks for some quick definition and color throughout the rest of the face as well.

Both of these shades also look gorgeous on the lips when they are lightly pressed onto the lips and smudged out with the finger. This will give the lips more of a natural stained look.

So again, Kosas is fantastic. The ingredients are not all necessarily natural, but the synthetic ingredients in the products all seem to be relatively non-toxic (based off of my research).

Lastly, I have to mention, the shades are much more versatile and vary in color much more in person than how they appear in photos on Kosas’s website. So, if you can’t purchase in person, I would definitely recommend looking for photos of swatches of the lipsticks and photos of other people wearing the lipstick on blogs and Instagram before settling on a color.

Thanks for reading!
