Wearable Rosie Purple & Green Eye Shadow Look

I’ve got another make up post for today but this time it’s not for a ‘no make up’ make up look like my last make up post. This one is all about the eyes.

For the last year or so I have had been absolutely infatuated with this dark and earthy green color on the eyes. I love pairing a color like this with a deep or ashy purple for a fun and dramatic eye look.

I have currently been using the Pacifica Power of Love Eye Shadow Palette to create this eye shadow look.

The green in this palette (on the top row) reminds me a lot of the shade ‘Darkhorse’ in the Urban Decay Naked Palette. The shimmery purple in this palette (bottom row) reminds me of a mix between the shades ‘Toasted’ and ‘Hustle’ from the UD Naked Palette. In certain lighting, this shimmery purple shade comes off more rose colored and in other lighting it comes off as more of an ashy purple.

I start by taking a fluffy tapered blending brush and blending the light and shimmery purple in this palette back and forth in my crease and blending it onto my lid and towards my brow bone.

I try to focus most of the pigment on the outer part of my crease and gradually lessen the intensity of the color as I get closer to the inner corner of my eye. I have found that this method works best for my eye shape.

Next I go into the lovely deep and earthy, moss-like green color in this palette with a plush, synthetic haired pencil brush.

This pencil brush is just a little larger than most pencil brushes that I have used or seen but it is my favorite pencil brush and, if I am being honest, probably my favorite eye shadow brush that I have ever used. Bold statement, I know 😉

It is still pretty dense like all good pencil brushes, but it is also soft and plush which diffuses the shadow very nicely. This is a great multi purpose eye shadow brush. I believe this brush is only available in this set.

I buff this color into my my outer crease and onto the outer part of my lid and blend it in towards the corner of my eye.

I take whatever green pigment is leftover on the pencil brush and buff this into my lash line. I think this look looks much more polished if I put a light creamy color on the the inner part of my eyelid but sometimes I do skip over that.

Most days I cannot be bothered to put on eyeliner so I will usually put on some mascara and call this good for my eyes!
