Quick Coverage With Root Pretty & Alima Pure

If you have been following my blog for a while (first off, thank you!) then you probably already know that I love Root Pretty.

The Root Pretty Pretty Booster Liquid Minerals is everything that I have ever been looking for in a BB Cream/Tinted Moisturizer/Etc.

It works great as a day cream and a primer under powder foundation but also gives great natural looking light coverage. My favorite thing about the Pretty Booster though, is that it literally looks better and better throughout the day. It truly meshes with the skin and its natural oils and becomes one with the skin.

I really do the love this product but, as strange as it sounds, I almost forget that I have it and really don’t use it enough. Life has felt a little crazy lately, I woke up yesterday morning with errands to run and not feeling great about my skin (due to some unfortunate breakouts) and just needed something quick and lightweight to tone down the appearance of my blemishes. I was ecstatic when I remembered that I had the Pretty Booster sitting in my vanity drawer. As always, I loved the look and feel of the product all day yesterday so when I woke up this morning with the same breakout and the same type of agenda for my day off of work, I figured I ought to share my experience with the product up on the blog.

I did choose to add in a little extra help for this quick light coverage look. I used the Alima Pure Cream Concealer just over the areas where my breakout occurred.

I’m super picky about this concealer – I find that I only like the way that it looks over blemishes and under the eyes when I apply it with the Alima Pure Highlighter Brush. The Cream Concealer is rather opaque which is why it offers such great coverage, the highlighter brush diffuses the product so lightly over the skin so that it still covers imperfections really well, but doesn’t end up looking like a thick layer of product sitting on tip of the skin. I like to spot correct with concealer underneath foundations (or tinted moisturizer/Pretty Booster in this case). I find that it draws less attention to the broken out area.

As you can see, the blemishes are still visible but the Creme Concealer and the Pretty Booster do just enough camouflaging while keeping the overall feel of the make up super lightweight.

Stay tuned for tomorrows blog post talking all about the also very lightweight and barely there rosie lip balm I have on in the photos above!
