Gift Guide For The Natural Make Up Lover

If you’re reading my blog it’s quite possible you’re a natural make up lover yourself, so you may agree that, makeup can be tricky to buy for someone else. Obviously everyone’s coloring is different when it comes to things like foundation and concealer, but everyone also has individual preferences when it comes to colors for eyeshadow, blush, and other color products. Below I’ve compiled a small list of make up products that any make lover will be thrilled with. Enjoy!

Root Pretty Gift Card

Root Pretty has the best selection of eyeshadows, blushes, bronzers, highlighters, lip balms, lipsticks, and glosses. All of their products are also in the $10 to $25 range and they offer samples on nearly everything for just a couple of dollars. I know a gift card may seem impersonal but I feel like almost anyone with an interest in make up will enjoy looking through Root’s site and picking out a product or two.

Kari Gran’s Lip Whip $26 Handcrafted in Seattle, Washington.

This is a very new product to me but I’m already in love with it.

It is a pigmented lip balm with peppermint essential oil.

This lip balm contains beeswax which acts as a barrier between the skin and outside elements so it is perfect for protecting the lips from the cold weather. The beeswax also sticks to the lips making the color and moisturizing/protective properties last

Sappho New Paradigm Shimmer in Medium $32, Made In Canada

This is a beautiful highlight shade with a gold undertone that flatters nearly every fair to medium skin tone. The Shimmer leaves a true glow on the skin and is not sticky like other natural cream highlighters.

To be honest, I don’t know how this shade compliments dark skin tones. Sappho does make a Bronze Shimmer that was made for darker skin tones though. I have seen this product in person (and it’s beautiful) but haven’t actually gotten to play with it myself.  Sappho also offers a fantastic selection of eyeshadow, blush, and bronzer. Emma’s Blush ($25) from Sappho could also quite possibly be a color that will be suitable for nearly all skin tones.

ELF’s 19 Piece Brush Set $50  or   ELF’s 11 Piece Brush Set $30

The 11 Piece Brush Set were the first make up brushes I ever bought about 6 years ago and I still have and use these brushes on a weekly (if not daily) basis. Since then I have purchased many of the additional brushes that are included in the 19 Piece Brush Set and get great use out of those as well. All of the brushes in these sets are extremely versatile, well made, useful, and have animal hair free bristles.
