One of my favorite things to do before swtiching over to green beauty was a winged eyeliner look with liquid liner. When I decided to swtich out all of my conventional beauty products to natural products, eyeliner was one of my last priorities as I only wear it every once in a while when I do want some extra drama. I tried countless liquid liners and found them all to be very hard to work with.
When I was building my freelance kit though, I knew I needed to find a good gel liner as it is easier to keep sanitized than liquid liner. I took a shot in the dark and decided to try out Hush + Dotti’s Gel Liner and could not be happier with how well the product performs!
This gel liner,
- stays in place and doesn’t run
- the formula is creamy enough that it glides on easily but not so creamy that it gets messy
- very easy to work with
- is a true pigmented black that doesn’t need to be built up much to get maximum impact
My one complaint with this gel liner is that the black does fade ever so slightly. Not nearly enough to keep me from wanting to wear it myself or from being comfortable using it on clients for short photo shoots; but I might opt for a slightly less natural gel liner option for bridal make up or at least suggest that a bride sees how it wears for a day before deciding to wear it the day of the wedding.
