Bare Minerals Full Face Foundation Routine

There are so many great makeup brands filling the aisles of Sephora and Ulta. Of all of the brands, Bare Minerals is by far one of my favorites. The ingredients used in Bare Minerals make up are not nearly as harmful as ingredients that other mainstream make up brands use and they also do not test any of their products on animals.

One of my go to face make up routines consists of almost all Bare Minerals products. I like to start by concealing my under eye area and my eyelids with the Bareskin Serum concealer. This concealer is pretty full coverage and a little goes a long way so I am pretty light handed with it.  I find that this concealer looks  best when it is blended out with a dense brush like the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. I also do a little bit of highlighting with this concealer, just a touch down the center of my nose, the cupid’s bow, just above the space between my eyebrows, and on my chin.

Next I will go in with Bare Minerals powder concealer Well Rested to cover any blemishes. Like the Bareskin concealer, Well Rested is also very full coverage. It doesn’t blend out as well as I would like so I always make sure to apply it before foundation so that I can use the foundation and foundation brush to blend it in more. I also like to use a touch of matifying powder over top of it because it is a little oily. After concealing any blemishes I use the Bare Minerals Blemish Remedy Powder Foundation. I apply this in circular motions with a dense flat top foundation brush until I have my desired level of coverage. The Blemish Remedy Foundation is a full coverage foundation that contains acne fighting ingredients such as salicylic acid, tea tree oil, and aspen bark. I won’t say that this foundation is a cure for acne by any means but I will say that when I use this foundation regularly, I do notice that I experience less breakouts. In my opinion this is a phenomenal foundation with great coverage.

Afterwards I set my entire face with the original Mineral Veil Finishing Powder from Bare Minerals. This powder does have a slight pink color to it but I don’t find that it leaves any color on my face so it works almost exactly like a translucent powder. When I first bought this powder I expected it to perform like every other translucent setting powder but this powder does much more than absorb oil and set makeup in place. It truly does give a perfecting veil like effect over the skin and makes fine lines and pores look less visible.

Lastly I will go in with bronzer and blush. I use Bare Minerals Warmth as bronzer. This is a rather dark shade so I use a small amount. I’ve found that this bronzer works best when I just barely tap my brush into the powder and get a few small dots of the product on my brush and then swirl the brush around in the cap of the bronzer. I use a dense angled brush to apply the product to the hollows of my cheeks and very lightly on my hair line. Warmth is one of my favorite makeup products because it is gives such a natural bronzy look. Next I apply the Bare Minerals loose mineral blush in Rose Radiance to my cheekbones using an angled blush brush. This is a lovely dusty pink color that leaves a soft and glowy color on the cheekbones. I was a little skeptical about trying a loose mineral blush and bronzer. I thought that it would be messy and hard to blend out but I think that the fact that these products are loose powders has a lot to do with how natural and glowy they come off on the skin.

After applying blush and bronzer I spritz some setting spray all over my face and then I am good to go. Thanks for reading! And of course, feel free to comment and let me know what your favorite Bare Minerals products are! IMG_0710
